Selections from: A Way of Being & A Life
After practicing civil rights and environmental law for over twenty years, Jon Edwards has spent the last five photographing the inhabitants of the islands and coastal regions of Maine. Edwards' stunning black and white photographs celebrate a world where people live close to the land - where fishing, harvesting seaweed, planting, making pies, and hanging laundry out to dry are still an integral part of life and work.
His recently self-published book won first prize for Proposed Books from the Prix de la Photographie, Paris. He lives with his family on the coast of Maine splitting his time between photography, law, and organic farming.

Espaces et M¸moires
Louis Perreault will be showing lovely black and white images of tossing grasses, the sea, and rain swept landscapes and portraits. Mostly taken in Canada's maritime provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, and the Magdeleine Islands, the images are less an examination or documentation of the landscape, and more an emotional paean to the journey.
This is Perreault's first U.S. exhibition.
