Whether you're preparing an artist statement, bio, cover letter, captioning, or an application for a residency or grant, writing about your work and artistic process fluently is an absolute necessity in today's art world. When approaching a gallery about a show, applying to art school, or pulling together a press kit for the newspaper, you will inevitably be asked to write a piece that articulates what you are doing visually.

This workshop is for those ready to take the next step in crafting successful applications and statements about their work. As an independent curator, freelance consultant, and writer, as well as former Blue Sky Gallery Director, Kirsten Rian is an invaluable resource.
