Developing Your Photographic Voice
Four Tuesdays, July 8th through August 5th
6:30-8:30pm
$175

It has been said that it's possible to be a great photographer but a terrible editor - underscoring the importance of choosing wisely from your contact sheets. Developing an eye for editing your work to present a compelling, cohesive photographic voice, however, can be a challenge. This four-week class is a great opportunity to explore these issues with talented local artist and curator Kirsten Rian.

In-depth group critiques will help you to identify themes and contexts you may have missed in your own work. Assignments based on your own photographic style or project will help you fill gaps in your portfolio to create a more defined body of work.

Please bring a portfolio of prints to the first class. For review and critique purposes, we ask that you do not bring slides or digital files.

This class will be taught by Kirsten Rian. As former Blue Sky Gallery Director, independent curator and freelance consultant, Kirsten is an invaluable resource.
