Throughout its history, street photography has succeeded in capturing many of the raw emotions,
ironic situations, and decisive moments of society performing its daily rituals in public places. In this
class, you'll work to develop your own style and approach to street photography. Class will include an
examination of the work of master street photographers, in-depth discussions of methods, goals, and
legal and ethical issues, and hands-on shooting sessions in the field.
Veteran street shooter Bobby Abrahamson will teach you some useful tools for approaching subjects with confidence, developing
rapport, and maintaining an unassuming profile as you work. Students should bring cameras and
may shoot with film or digitally.
