As the rainy Portland winter sets in, it's a great time to stay inside and experiment with still life photography. This class is an in-depth look at the world of still life, with an emphasis on the use of natural light.
Through an examination of the work of other photographers, as well as plenty of discussion and brainstorming, you'll explore new ways to create successful still life images. You'll also learn helpful design and compositional skills to help you frame your shots. Weekly take-home shooting assignments will encourage you in new directions as you create new work. In-class review and critique sessions will help you refine your vision and create stronger images.
