In this class, you'll explore the magical world of
infrared photography with Portland photographer
Zeb Andrews. A whole new world comes alive in
infrared - skies darken beautifully, foliage and skin
tones glow - making for beautiful, dream-like images.
Zeb will demystify infrared and demonstrate both
color and black and white techniques for film and
digital shooters. You'll also learn to modify digital
cameras for shooting in infrared. A photo expedition
around nearby Ladd's Addition will get you seeing
and thinking in infrared, as you experiment with
different equipment and options.
You'll get ample
hands-on time with this quirky medium as you
learn to direct your vision to subjects that work
well in infrared. Students should bring cameras and
may shoot with film or digitally.
