On Assignment: Fort Vancouver & The Confluence Project
Saturday, August 9th 9am-1pm
Thursday, August 21st 7-9pm
$75

As an old Hudson's Bay Company trading post, 19th century military fort, and archeological gem, Fort Vancouver is an integral piece of Northwest history. Today, the fort is a wonderful place to explore with a camera. A walk through the colonial-style buildings, gardens, blacksmith shop, and bake-house is like stepping back in time. Volunteers in period dress add a wonderfully picturesque element to the scene.

This trip is a chance to photograph in and around the fort with photographer Christine Eagon, who has been photographing the area for decades. The trip will also take in the scenic views of the Colombia and Mt. Hood from atop the newly created Confluence Project land bridge. Participants should wear sun hats and good walking shoes, and bring a bag lunch and water. Trip will begin at Fort Vancouver.
