Learning how to use the lights is one thing - learning how to use your camera to its full potential in a studio setting is another entirely. Getting the shot depends upon a mastery of color space, histograms, white balance, ISO, noise, and file formats.
In this intensive, one-day workshop, you'll learn professional lighting techniques specific to shooting with your digital SLR as you learn to take full advantage of the many advanced settings your camera offers. If you want to up the ante on your technical studio skills, this workshop is a must. Students should bring cameras. A basic/intro studio lighting class is a recommended prerequisite
The class will be taught by photographer Don Marr. Don is an advertising and editorial photographer based in Portland. He is an instructor at the Santa Fe Workshops and author of Beginners Guide to Photographic Lighting.
