Darkroom One
4 Mondays, 6-9pm

This hands-on, four-session class will cover beginning black and white darkroom techniques. Learn to control your manual camera, process film, and make enlargements in the darkroom. By the end of the class, you'll be versed in the use of contrast filters, burning and dodging, and will be making beautiful art prints of your own.
Students have unlimited access to the Newspace darkroom for the duration of the class. Classes begin the first Monday of every month and are from 6-9pm

Four classes
One month of darkroom access (chemistry included)
Instructor: Laura Valenti
Laura is a Portland photographer and the Program Director at Newspace. She has taught numerous classes and workshops at Newspace since the Center's establishment in 2002 and serves on the board of Photolucida.
